Stadiums

TopTurf is no stranger to constructing and maintaining world class stadia. We have worked on numerous international football and rugby pitches in the past, including Ellis Park (Coca Cola Park) in Johannesburg, Newlands in Cape Town and the FNB Stadium in Soweto, now known as Soccer City. The FIFA soccer World Cup held in South Africa in 2010 provided the perfect opportunity for TopTurf to demonstrate its experience and expertise with the construction of the match venues at the new Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth and the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg as well as the construction and upgrading of the training venues for some of the world’s finest football teams. These included France (Pezula Resort, Knysna), England (Royal Bafokeng Sports Campus, Rustenburg), our very own Bafana Bafana (Sturrock Park, Johannesburg) and Word Cup runners up The Netherlands (Wits University). In Addition to this, TopTurf was also involved in the construction of numerous ‘legacy pitches’ where world class pitches conforming to FIFA’s stringent specifications were constructed in some of the poorest communities in the country. These include the Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaZulu-Natal, the Moruleng Stadium in the North West Province, the Phillipi Stadium in Cape Town and the Gelvandale Stadium in Port Elizabeth. As far as Rugby is concerned, TopTurf has maintained the Mr Price Kings Park pitch for the Durban based and current Currie Cup title holders, the Sharks franchise for 3 years.

Should you need a pitch designed, constructed or maintained to the highest standards for any of the sporting disciplines, the TopTurf Team is looking forward to hearing from you.
